We begin by selling products of the highest quality and back our products with our sensational service team! We pledge on-site maintenance service response time of less than 4 hours--and most times--within 2 hours! That is, if you need us at all! Because we are committed to such great service we replace parts not on an as needed basis, but just like you do on your car for "preventive maintenance." We have a full factory trained Service Department.

MACFARLANE SERVICE PROGRAM -KONICA BIZHUB SYSTEMS

Many times we are asked about our Service Contract Programs. "What is provided?" or "Do I really need a service contract?" are two of the biggest questions we get.


First, our contracts are a real support contract. They are not just an extended warranty or insurance product. Our service programs are old-fashioned, PREVENTATIVE (we put parts in on a planned basis before the machine breaks down) contracts. Many copier/printer companies take your contract money, but do very little, if anything to keep your unit in top running condition. When you have a major breakdown or expensive fix, they send in the sales team to sell you on a new unit. Our units run better and last longer under a service contract.


The other main consideration is that we are replacing expensive cartridge-based printers with MFPs (multi-function printers/copiers). The "copier" is now your copier/printer/scanner and sometimes fax as well. This lowers your cost per page (about 50% less than a cartridge-based printer) and improves work flow. Scan to e-mail is replacing faxing as it is much faster, better print quality, larger feeder capacity, etc. Printing faxes on a MFP costs about 66% less on a Konica MFP. Many of our clients don't print faxes. They have the Konica MFP receive them into a folder where they can delete junk faxes or e-mail the fax to the correct person. New Konica MFPs now have the advantage of scanning right into your application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.). This does require a Konica solution, but it does speed up the work flow.


BOTTOM LINE: Considering how much you depend on today's MFPs, it is really important that your unit is up and running at all times. Our service/support contracts will help to insure that happens! Our contracts run at a rate of about 1 cent per page, so it really is low cost. What you save not using cartridge-based printers more than pays for itself. We are happy to work with our clients to come up with a service plan that suits their volume/needs.
